

The backgrounds are understated yet enchanting watercolors. I ran in to see and we ended up looping the gag, watching it over and over and laughing harder each time. There are occasional moments of slapstick comedy but it is high on cuteness, low on angst and violence.

Kipper and his buddies Tiger, Pig, and Arnold, amble about in a genial, self-amused manner, often chuckling infectiously to themselves about their mildly mischievous adventures. Still, I prefer it over the Boston accent she sometimes has when she returns home from school, "we did some drawrings and then we played in the pahk."
